Privacy, plainly.
Rent Due Tomorrow is a marketplace for hand-made work, collecting an interest list before it opens. This page says what we collect when you join, why, who handles it, and what you can ask us to do with it. No cookies, no ads, no tracking.
01 What we collect
When you sign up:
- your email;
- whether you make things or buy from people who do;
- if you make things: your name (or the one you make under), one link to your work, and whether you're open to a 20-minute conversation;
- if you buy: the kinds of work you picked, if any;
- the date you signed up and the version of the sign-up wording you saw.
When you visit, our hosting provider handles standard server logs (such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure. The site also keeps two small notes in your own browser (which colour field and which pen mark it showed you last) so the next visit looks different. They never leave your device, and we don't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
02 Why
- To email you about the launch and, if you're an artist, about your application. That's what you agree to when you sign up: “We'll email you about the launch and your application. Unsubscribe anytime.”
- To review artists for the founding group, using the name and link you gave us.
- To arrange a conversation, only if you ticked that you're open to one.
- To understand what people want to buy, so we invite the right artists.
- To keep the site running and secure.
If you're in the EU or UK: we email you on the basis of your consent, and review applications and keep the site secure on the basis of our legitimate interests in running the marketplace you signed up for.
03 Who handles it
Our small team, and two service providers that process it for us and nothing else: Supabase (our database) and Vercel (our hosting). We'll name any provider we add, such as an email service, here before we use it.
We don't sell your information, share it for advertising, or let anyone else market to you.
04 Emails
Launch news and, for artists, your application. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or just reply and tell us to stop.
05 How long we keep it
Until the marketplace opens and up to a year after, then we delete what we no longer need. If you join as an artist or a buyer, what you share becomes part of your account. You can ask us to delete it sooner, any time.
06 What you can ask us to do
See what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you. Write to hello@rentduetomorrow.com and we'll answer within 30 days. Unsubscribing is always one click.
In the EU or UK you also have the right to object, to restrict how we use your data, to take it with you, and to complain to your data protection authority. In California you have the right to know, correct and delete what we collect; we don't sell or share personal information, and we won't treat you differently for asking.
07 Where it lives
On servers in the United States. If you're outside the US, your information travels there; our providers protect those transfers with the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.
08 Keeping it safe
Everything travels over an encrypted connection. The sign-up list is locked so only our server can write to it and only our team can read it.
09 Kids
This isn't meant for anyone under 16. If someone younger signed up, tell us and we'll delete it.
10 Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell everyone on the list by email.
